We have decided to keep updating the blog weekly, to keep friends and family that don't live so close updated on his progress. Cole's been home for almost a month now. Contrary to the picture above, he sleeps in a crib in our bedroom and feeds every three hours like clockwork. Although recently he's been sleeping up to 4 hours at night. Adjusting our lives to get up a couple times in the middle of the night was rough at first. He now weighs close to 8 lbs. Here's a pic with him with great grandma.
He came home on a monitor. It's a strap that goes around his chest. Two wires plug into a portable unit that measures breathing and heartrate. We were told to expect some false alarms. When it does go off, it's very loud. But he's only wearing that at night now. Here he is in the crib that Grandma and Grandad Fiore designed and built for him.
