YES I'm that far behind!

Christmas night we made cookies for Santa.  This was another first for us and it worked out great.  We had so much fun.

Proud of her baking skills Mackenzie puts the milk and cookies down for Santa.  And now it's time for bed or Santa won't come. 

 SANTA CAME!

 The see-saw was a big hit with both kids.

 Cole can be a little difficult to shop for.  So this year we wrapped up a box with a bunch of packing peanuts.  He loved it!  By the time he was done with the box, it look like it had snowed by inside.

All in all it was a very merry Christmas.

Christmas Card Photo Shoot

We decided to do matching pajamas for our Christmas card this year.  After our visit with Santa, Mackenzie asked to sleep in her new pajamas every night.  And every night after she put them on she would ask,"Can we go see Santa?"

This was the first time we did a gingerbread house with the kids.  Mackenzie ate the candy right out of the white bowls.  Cole ate the candy as soon as someone put it on the house.

This picture is posed, but so cute. 

First time with hot cocoa too!  Of course I had to the get extra mugs.  They were great for the photo and will make great decorations next year.

Rooster Cogburn's Ostrich Farm

Every time we visit Granddad and Grandma Fiore in Tucson we pass by Rooster Cogburn's Ostrich.  This time we finally stopped.  It was $5 for adults and the kids were free.  For your $5 entrance fee, you get feed and a little container of green juice for the lorikeets.

We fed miniature donkeys, deer and goats.

For some reason they had goats up on a scissor lift.  You had to put the food in these little yellow containers on a belt and crank the food up them. 

Jim got a kick out the "Hole in the Wall Gang".

Ostriches are known to bite, but Jim still wanted to feed them by hand.

As soon as we walked into the aviary Jim was "attacked" by the lorikeets.  They were hungry and he had the food.

Even though it was a horrible game for the Bruins, my kids still look cute.

 A little friendly taunting never hurt anyone.

Cole's 6th Birthday Party

This year we had Cole's birthday party at Sky High Sports.  It's an indoor trampoline place.  It's literally wall to wall trampolines.  This place is great and Cole loved it!

For his party I made his cake look like a scrapbook.  It had a memorable picture from each year.  It made Aunt De De cry. =)

Cole and Mackenzie think that since this cake will be coming home with them, they can eat right off the cake board. 

I'm really loving how much these two are started to interact with one another.  They are really starting to act like brother and sister.  Right down to the fighting.

Happy 6th Birthday Cole!

Wow!  I can't believe you're already 6.  Since the day you were born you've always had your own agenda.  You do things at your own pace.  You're not one to be forced into doing something you don't want to do, unless there is a tasty treat at the end of the task.  Little did we know that when you came into this world 3 months early you were showing us a bit of that personality we know so well today.  But we would never want you to change.  It's that precocious spirit that gives us a smile that would brighten anyone's day.
