Mackenzie turned one today, but we start celebrating on Thursday. First we had her birthday cake photo shoot. We chose the photo below to be the picture on her cake, with the tag line; Happy 1st Birthday to Me!!
I still think this is a cute picture even though she isn't smiling.
And this picture would have been perfect, if she was wearing the tiara.
We had her party on Saturday. We just finished singing Happy Birthday. I'm still trying to get that tiara in the picture and she is still trying to take it off.
Mackenzie's nanny, Sylvia, moonlights as a clown for kids parties. She was a huge hit with the kids. Mackenzie takes the first bite of her cake.
Mackenzie got her own cupcake with lots of pink frosting. She dove in hands first for the frosting. Watching her devour this cupcake was truly hilarious. She had both hands full of frosting and was looking at the cake on the highchair tray. Since this was her first cupcake she didn't want to the let the frosting go...
...the problem solver that she is, she dove mouth first into the cake.
Notice the cupcake is gone!
