This year we got to celebrate our Independence Day with both our Oregon Dads. We actually got to Oregon Friday morning. First Dad had to "show us off" to the people at work and then to his friends at his local dive shop. Saturday we went to the Portland Zoo. Sunday we spent part of the day listening to live blues music. But soon Jim and I got tired of chasing the kids around, so we went home, but not before stopping off to pick up some fireworks.
We just picked up a few snakes and some sparklers. Cole was really into it, while Mackenzie stood behind Jim trying to blow them out.
We also got a chance to visit with the Murphys. Unfortunately we didn't get too much time, but we do appreciate the time we get. Mackenzie had a blast looking at all the antique stuff Pat and Nancy had a around the house. While Cole got to ride the quad with Grandpa.
