The neonatal doctor came back to us after a couple hours and gave us a status. Cole's lungs weren't fully developed so they have him on a respirator to help him breathe. His blood count is low so they gave him a blood transfusion. There was significant bruising, so he is high risk for yellow jaundice. To combat that they cover his eyes and put special lights on him to break up the jaundice in the skin. From an initial 100% O2 mix, they dropped it to 60%, then 30% (Humans breathe 21% normally). But other than that, he's doing well. Weight: 1 pound, 12 ounces.
